A blog

it was actually 2 of them.... ROOK with 8500 health at level 9 and a UB with around 7000 .... rook was one/two shotting with his hammer for 1500-3000+ dmg (after a rock stun)

Full citidel upgrades too....

I guess the thing that worries me is when people stop being so obvious about it.... I play demigod 2-4 games a day, but after this game i decided to play street fighter 4 instead

Will this ever be fixed?

UPDATE:

i watched the replay, the game was 3v3 map cataract

The 2 players in question were named KyKy (rook) and Bronnieman (ub)

Unfortunately the replay dies early and shows no player stats.

maybe people could play a game with one of these players and see what happens... massive spikes in health etc...

This. Any such cheats would cause a desync. It was likely a particular combination of items and/or flag bonuses, as DeadMG noted.
Yep. But don't be quick to discount things such as maphacks/no fog of war hacks (since it's simply a matter of modifying the client exe to display everyone on the map, or to turn off fog of war). Remember people, Company of Heroes is P2P, and I've seen my fair share of hacks in that game... it all depends on how what is implemented.

Kyky shows 80 games played, Bronnieman shows 75.  You show 35.  I know some games (maybe 20%?) are not recording at all.  Just by this, I would imagine it is possible you were simply outplayed by someone more experienced.  Second, they both have positive records, but nothing so overwhelmingly posititve that it looks suspicious.

Lastly, just to check the math, here is a screenshot to prove the feasibility.  Note that the total item costs are 10k gold, which is certainly not impossible at that point.  Also note, that demigoddb.com's calculator does not factor in the abilities (4 points in enhanced attributes adds +460 health).  At this point, he would also have the 1300 point hammer, and boulder roll as you described.

Here is the math shown below:  [(6750 health from levels & items) + (460 health from "enchanced attributes")] * (1.15 from 15% health flag) = 8291.5 health

Awesomeness. Apparently. Printscreen curtesy of demigoddb.com.

Full citidel upgrades too....

Wait, what? Are you sure you know how this game works?

Ky Ky doesn't hack, he's just good and ghey.

http://www.demigoddb.com/ is where the above screenshot comes from.  UB can get up to 8k by level 9 as well with a 10k item spend, a favour item and two +15% health flags.

interesting....

1) he had the shoulder towers so enhanced attributes is out.

2) "modified armor" is theoretical health, right?

3) seriously who doesnt buy boots of speed (wand of speed too**)?

is it some new strat to stack health items (Doubt it)?  Most people i've seen use the heart of life.  Doing serious damage  and having rediculous health seems unlikely.... also i saw a wand of speed in the game early....

on May 27, 2009

i just checked my stats for the first time ever, and it doesnt show more than half my games played.  It doesnt even show the game in question.

Honestly how many games actually end properly?

Netsplit, ragequit (lol i had a guy rage on firstblood in the first 20 seconds cuz of a spit/snipe/spear death), random drops, etc.....

go to the Pantheon page and search your name.

and no, i don't think health stacking is exactly a new strat. has been pretty popular with rook pretty much forever. he can't run so he has to outlast you. makes sense to stack health.

sPloOsH, I think you should probably apologise to the players you've named in the top of the thread.

You're accusing them of cheating without proof and using some theory that has been debunked by several people, that's not cool at all.

Even if you think there might be something sus going on, you don't have anything solid to back it up and should really take the chance that you could be wrong into account.

Your comment on arrow shoulders also doesn't hold water as at level 9 can have both his stats maxed out, the highest possible hammer slam as well as shoulder arrows and then he's got one skill point spare.

Seriously, go on to the website I linked and try to build demigods that could do what you witnessed and you'll see that it's possible.  If you're not willing to do even basic research like that then you shouldn't be so confident in your accusations.

Well, now you've encountered another build that is equally or potentially more effective.  That's a good thing, and goes to show that demigod has a lot more depth and balance than you'd initially thought.

This.

Sploosh, you are making yourself look bad.. You have multiple people using facts and figures, and even a stardock post, debunking your post.

Time to fess up that you had some outplayed rage, and apologize.

on May 27, 2009

unfortunately, stardock hasnt provided enough tools for me to prove anything.

That's all i'll admit.

Keep an eye out - if i'm wrong, there is no way to prove that either.  lol

on May 27, 2009

You cant proof anything so now Stardock has to provide tools?

What tools do you need when people already posted plenty of possible scenario's you might have run into, did you actually read any of the proper responses to your wild claim of cheating?

Time for you to have a better look at the game and properly check your facts before posting again...
